POP music fans have been left devastated after Guy Sebastian was forced to reschedule his North Queensland T.R.U.T.H shows after testing positive to Covid-19.
The concerts were scheduled for Cairns on May 10 and Townsville on May 11.
In a statement released on Thursday night by promoter TEG Live, ticket holders were advised to hold onto tickets and expect more details soon via email about the rescheduled shows and would not need to take further action.
The pop superstar said he was “absolutely gutted”.
“I was so looking forward to performing in Cairns and Townsville next week,” Sebastian said.
“I am so sorry to disappoint my fans and I promise to do something even more special once I’m able to perform as a thank you for your patience and understanding.”
Managing Director of TEG Live Tim McGregor said touring in these times was challenging.
“What will always remain a number one priority is the safety and wellbeing of our artists, fans, touring crew and venue staff,” he said.
“I can assure you that we are working hard to confirm the rescheduled dates and ticket holders will be notified shortly. We look forward to getting the show back on the road as soon as possible.”
All other shows remain on schedule with the tour set to resume in the Gold Coast on May 13.
