City of Darwin announce festive season opening times

Libraries, pools and the waste management facility will be adjusting their available hours in the coming days, with the City of Darwin confirming amended opening hours over the festive season.
Ahead of Christmas, Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis reassured locals essential services would remain available.
“Some City of Darwin offices and operations will operate with shorter hours during the festive season,” he said.
“For all urgent enquiries please call 08 8989 2843.
“On behalf of City of Darwin, I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.”
CITY OF DARWIN CUSTOMER SERVICE
Customer Service will close at 5pm on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 and reopen at 8am on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
SHOAL BAY WASTE MANAGEMENT FACILITY
Shoal Bay Waste Management Facility will operate on restricted hours on Christmas day, from 10am until 3pm. All other days will be open as usual, from 7am until 5.45pm.
CITY OF DARWIN OPERATIONS CENTRE
The Operations Centre will be closed for the public holidays and will be operating with skeleton staff from Friday, December 27 until Tuesday, December 31.
Normal operating hours will commence from Thursday, January 2, 2025.
CITY OF DARWIN POOLS
Pools will operate under normal operating hours and will only close on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, with weekend hours on Boxing Day.
