Police allege that on Thursday, January 13, Stein tried unsuccessfully to dump Charlise’s body at multiple locations over a five-hour period, before putting her in a barrel and leaving it on the banks of the Colo River.

Detectives have now released CCTV footage showing what they allege is Stein on his drive around northwest Sydney, including stopping at the BP service station at Marsden Park on the day she was dumped.

Footage shows a red Ute like that Stein owned, towing a boat and pulling into the petrol station that Thursday.

At the time police allege the body of Charlise was hidden in the back of the vehicle.
