US country music stars Zac Brown Band and Jackson Dean will headline the Far North’s premier music festival in Mareeba later this year.
Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning Southern rock group Zac Brown Band will
be joined by US country music star Jackson Dean at the highly acclaimed event, Savannah in the Round.
Festival director James Dein said he couldn’t wait to welcome the acts to the Mareeba Rodeo Arena from October 9 to 12.
“Zac Brown Band’s legendary status and Jackson Dean’s meteoric rise in the country music
scene are the perfect fit for our eclectic line-up,” Mr Dein said.
With a career spanning more than a decade, Zac Brown Band have earned a reputation as one of the most dynamic live performers in music and sold more than 30.5 million singles, 9.3 million albums and amassed more than 11.2 billion catalogue streams worldwide.
Meanwhile, Jackson’s Dean’s debut single, “Don’t Come Lookin’,” reached number one on the country radio charts, has more than 150 million streams, and was added to the infamous Yellowstone show soundtrack.
“Together, they’ll create an unforgettable experience for festival-goers in the stunning Tropical North,” Mr Dein said.
“We can’t wait for the Savannah tribe to welcome them to our stage.”
Tourism Tropical North Queensland chief executive Mark Olsen said the high-profile Zac Brown band would help grow the audience at Savannah in the Round and drive interstate visitation to the region.
“Visitor numbers have been rapidly increasing to this annual music festival resulting in $10.8m in overnight visitor expenditure in 2024 – double the previous year – and more than 30,000 Tropical North Queensland visitor nights,” Mr Olsen said.
“Interstate visitors to Savannah in the Round stayed an average 10.2 nights last year allowing plenty of time to explore the Great Barrier Reef, the world’s oldest rainforest and the accessible outback.”
Zac Brown Band and Jackson Dean will join a diverse roster of artists, including international and homegrown talent including Kasey Chambers, Daryl Braithwaite, Chocolate Starfish, Amber Lawrence, Max Jackson, Jesse Daniel, Luke O’Shea and more.
Tickets for Savannah in the Round 2025 are available via the festival’s website.
