Four people have been assessed by paramedics, and two rushed to hospital following four separate crashes on Far North roads.
A man has been rushed to hospital with head injuries following a single vehicle crash at Euramo, 147km south of Cairns on Saturday morning.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed a male patient had been transported to Tully hospital with head injuries.
“Crews assessed a male in his 40s in a single-vehicle crash,” the spokeswoman said.
“He sustained head injuries and was stransported in stable condition to tully hospital.
Earlier, emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle and pedestrian crash on Brolga Street in Craiglie, 60km north of Cairns.
A man in his 80s sustained a significant injury following a vehicle and pedestrian crash at 7.57am.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed crews were assessing one male patient in his 80s.
“He’s got a significant arm injury and multiple minor injuries,” the spokeswoman said.
Meanwhile in a separate incident, ambulance crews have assessed a man in his 70s after a mini bus crashed into a pole in Cairns at 8.16am.
A QAS spokeswoman confirmed one crew was on scene.
“We’ve been advised it’s a vehicle into a pole,” she said.
“It looks like a 12-seater bus, but only one patient on board, a man in his 70s in stable condition.”
The spokeswoman confirmed he did not sustain any major injuries.
In a separate incident, a woman in her 70s has been injured following a crash involving a vehicle sand a bicycle in Clifton Beach at 8.35am.
“We’re assessing a female in her 70s with shoulder and head injuries, but she’s fairly stable at this stage” the spokeswoman said.
