LUSCIOUS and often exotic fresh fruit and vegetables, a diverse range of locally-made treasures, artworks, toiletries and enticing meals, cool drinks and snacks, along with clothing for all ages suitable for the tropics and eye-catching homewares are on offer at markets from the Cassowary Coast to the Tablelands, throughout Cairns and north to Mossman and Port Douglas. Many Far North markets have strict policies around storeholder eligibility, ensuring that products on offer are locally made or sourced. Ideal for stocking up on weekly items, getting the best of seasonal produce as it becomes available, or browsing for special gifts, the markets of the Far North are truly unique.
