A LEADING national furniture chain has welcomed shoppers through the door of the former Masters hardware warehouse in Portsmith.

Amart Furniture Cairns’ first day of trade from the Cairns Homemaker Centre kicked off on Thursday. following a store relocation with our new store format

The new outlet at the corner of Kenny and Draper streets offers 4,138sq m gross floor area, plus back-of-house warehousing and infill glazing at the main entry.

Amart marketing executive Michaela Sharp said the new store was similar in size to the old Mulgrave Road premises.

“But the store has a brand new format to showcase more of our range,” she said.

“It’s also brighter and going to be a much nicer customer experience.”

To celebrate the new digs customers have been offered huge discounts on a wide range of stock.

“We have a huge sale on, celebrating with up to 50% off a huge range of furniture,” she said.

“Including lounges, outdoor furniture, mattresses and bedroom furniture on now until Tuesday 13th April.”

Following the new shop’s soft opening on Thursday Cairns store manager Lauren Dillon said the team would take a break for Good Friday but would hit the ground running for the long weekend.

“They are super excited, the team is high spirited and they are ready to go,” she said.

On April 10 Amart Cairns will host a grand opening of the new store with a free sausage sizzle and a giveaway of, an outdoor dining setting, a lounge and full queen bedroom setting.

The Cairns Amart Furniture outlet will open Saturday Sunday and Monday until 5pm.
