A teenager has been flown to Cairns Hospital after he was stabbed in the throat in a Cassowary Coast town in the early hours of the morning with the alleged culprit fleeing the scene.

A teenager has been flown to Cairns Hospital after he was stabbed in the throat in a Cassowary Coast town in the early hours of the morning.
A Queensland ambulance spokesperson said the man was flown to Cairns for treatment.
“One male patient with a wound to his throat was originally transported by road to Tully Hospital after an alleged stabbing on Webb Court at 3.46am,” they said.
“He was then flown by helicopter to Cairns Hospital.”
Police confirmed they were investigating the incident with the offender on the run.
“Police are investigating an incident in Bingil Bay this morning, June 14,” A QPS spokeswoman said.
“Around 3.50am, officers were called to a Webb Court residence following reports a 16-year-old boy had sustained a non-life-threatening wound to the neck during a disturbance.
“He was transported to hospital in a stable condition.
“The offender left the scene prior to police arrival.
