A vibrant new Greek restaurant has just opened along the bustling Cairns waterfront.
The Wilson Group, known for their impressive dining portfolio, including Ollie’s Italian and The Chambers, is now taking over the site previously occupied by the Boatshed to open Éla Drink and Meze.
The Greek-inspired restaurant is being hailed as the region’s “hottest new” dining destination, with stunning views and a diverse menu of traditional Greek dishes.
Éla Drink and Meze Owner, Joan Wilson, said the restaurant promises to infuse “new life and vibrancy” into the waterfront location.
“Éla Drink and Meze is poised to become the region’s hottest new dining destination,” she said.
Named after a Greek expression meaning “come” or “come now,” the hospitality entrepreneurs said the new restaurant captures coastal charm and modern flavours.
“We’re offering stunning waterfront views, a strong culinary concept and an elevated, yet casual ambience perfectly suited to Tropical Far North Queensland’s balmy climate,” Ms Wilson said.
In addition to stunning waterfront views the menu will be brimming with traditional Greek dishes under the watchful eye of Head Chef Vincent Perraud.
“It will be the gathering place the precinct needs, where everyone is welcome to unwind and enjoy breezy long lunches, drinks and nibbles at dusk, or cocktails all day long,” Ms Wilson said.
“Whether you’ve just stepped off a charter boat or you’re celebrating a milestone, it will be a welcoming venue for all.”
