Moving on from that venture last year she opened Kass and Ko in Oceania Arcade in the Cairns CBD last month from which her new active, yoga and lounge wear label Inferno is now available.
“It’s exciting but nerve-racking trying to advertise it,” she said.
“I have just stared small at the moment with tank tops, singlets, T-shirts, crops and shorts. I have not got leggings yet but they will come out shortly.
With no middleman Ms Hopper said she was able to keep costs down and pass that on to customers.
“I have been able to design what I like myself and make it affordable for other people,” she said.
“It’s quite affordable the active wear. Most of the tops are $34.95, the bottoms are $39.95 where as other brands are a lot more expensive.”
The new Oceana Walk tenant hoped to attract a younger market to the CBD centre and already has struck a cross promotional deal with Genesis gym on Lake St.
