Woman’s body found in water at popular walking trail in Melbourne’s outer suburbs

A woman’s body has been found floating in water at a popular walking trail in Melbourne.

Victoria Police found the body in the water near The Esplanade at Narre Warren South on Tuesday morning.

The woman has not been formally identified.

Police are investigating the death but do not believe it is suspicious.

“(The death) is not believed to be suspicious at this stage,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
