Dramatic footage has emerged of Victorian schoolies running riot at a Phillip Island venue.

The group were filmed at The Jetty restaurant in Cowes after gathering for a gathering at the venue last Wednesday night.

In the clip, the teenagers climb on tables and dancing on unsuitable flooring that eventually caved in.

Venue owner, Gabrielle Caffieri, said the damage could potentially cause thousands of dollars to fix.

“I think once it got to about seven people (the panelling) caved in, so they fell in and obviously the walls pulled out, and to get out of there they had to kick the door out, so obviously pretty extensive damage,” he told 3AW.

“I’m all for them having fun, but it’s more the wrecking properties … and also the amount of litter. The amount of smashed bottles every morning is unbelievable.”

Teenagers partying on the Mornington Peninsula, south of Melbourne, are having a similarly chaotic time, with one reveller allegedly king-hitting a police officer.
