Three men have been arrested at a cemetery after two people sustained serious injuries in an alleged stabbing.

A cemetery in Sydney’s west has been declared a crime scene after three people were arrested following a stabbing.

Shortly before 2pm on Monday, police received reports a man and woman had presented to Auburn Hospital with stab wounds.

The pair, who sustained serious injuries, are believed to be aged in their 20s.

Police confirmed three men were arrested at Rookwood Cemetery in Lidcombe and are assisting police with inquiries.

Police established a crime scene at the cemetery and an investigation is underway.

A black SUV has reportedly been seized for forensic testing.

No charges have been laid and inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
