Police are desperately trying to find the mother of a newborn baby who was found abandoned in Blacktown.
A newborn baby girl has been taken to hospital after she was found abandoned as police try to track down her mother.

A newborn baby girl has been found abandoned outside a stranger’s home in western Sydney.
NSW Police are appealing for help from the public after the child was found at a home on Girra Rd, Blacktown about after emergency services were called about 2.40pm on Friday.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the baby before she was taken to Blacktown Hospital to be checked over.
Police believe the baby may have been left at the location between 12.30pm and 2.40pm on Friday.
The residents of the home where the girl was found alerted police when they found her after going outside their home. They had reportedly only lived at the home for a week.
A police operation is now under way in the vicinity to try to find the mother.
