The bodies of missing fishermen found at Kurnell

Emergency services have made a grim find following a widespread search after reports two fishermen had been washed off rocks.

Two men have died after they were reportedly washed off rocks in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire

NSW Police were called to Cape Solander Dr, Kurnell, following reports two people had been washed off rocks at 2.45pm on Monday.

A search operation was launched with the assistance of Marine Area Command, Surf Life Savers and Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

NSW Police confirmed the two men were pulled from the water a short time later.

Officers performed CPR until NSW Ambulance paramedics took over.

However both men were unable to be revived.

The two men are yet to be formally identified.

Police will prepare a report for the information of the coroner.
