A man has been slapped with a hefty fine after urinating on a police car in Melbourne’s north.
Police were alerted to a man urinating on a vehicle in a carpark near Cooper Street in Epping about 7pm on Monday.
Officers were on foot patrol at the time and were able to intervene the incident “midstream”, realising the car in question was their police car, according to a Victoria Police spokesperson.
“A 27-year-old Lalor man was told to zip it, which offered little relief,” the spokesperson said.
The man was issued a penalty notice for behaving in a riotous, indecent, offensive or insulting manner.
“The fine slashed $790 from his bank account, really putting the ‘P’ in penalty,” the spokesperson said.
