Gunman on the loose after fatal shooting in Melbourne’s inner-city
A manhunt is underway in Melbourne for multiple unidentified people after a man was shot dead near a rave.

A manhunt is underway following the death of a man found with a gunshot wound in an inner-Melbourne street early Saturday morning.
Emergency services were called to Langford Street in North Melbourne about 3.15am after a man was foundon the footpath with a gunshot wound.
The man, who is yet to be identified, was declared dead at the scene.
Crime Command Detective Acting Inspector Alan Rumble told media the investigation was in it’s infancy, but there was nothing to suggest an ongoing threat to the public.
“I acknowledge the offenders have not yet been identified and arrested... there is nothing to suggest there is an ongoing immediate risk to the community or to others involved,” He said.
A crime scene was established early Saturday morning, with officers working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A Victoria Police spokesperson confirmed no arrests have been made yet.
“Police have cordoned off the area,” the spokesperson said.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash cam/CCTV footage, or any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.”
The ABC has reported “scuffles” broke out following the man’s death as crowds gathered at the scene from a nearby rave.
Police have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
