Homicide and child abuse squads are investigating the death of a four-month-old baby in a regional NSW hospital.
Police have launched an investigation after officers were notified of an injured four-month-old at Gunnedah Hospital in the NSW central north on Tuesday.
The boy was transferred to John Hunter Hospital where he died later that night.
The State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad and Child Abuse Squad have established a strike force along with the Oxley Police District to investigate the circumstances surrounding the boy’s death.
