Missing woman Rachel Walker has been found a day after a close friend pleaded for help in locating the inner western Sydney local.
Police announced the 34-year-old, who was last seen in Newtown about 12pm on May 20, had been located as of 3pm on Tuesday.
Friends and family of Ms Walker held concerns for her welfare after she hadn’t been seen or heard from in almost a week.
“It’s not like Rach not to be in contact for this length of time, we’re all worried sick,” close friend Hannah told NewsWire.
“Anyone with any info please contact the police as soon as possible.
“Rachel is so loved by so many people. We just want to know she’s OK.”
Another friend took to social media to share her relief on Tuesday afternoon.
“Rach has been found safe – the best outcome we could’ve hoped for,” she wrote.
“A heartfelt thank you to everyone for sharing the (missing) post.”
