Mr Perrotet stepped down as leader after the Liberals lost the NSW government after its state election in March.

The final result left Labor two seats short of the 47 required to form a majority.

The Liberal Party will hold 36 seats, while there are nine independents and three Green MP’s making up the balance of the lower house.
