Police are hunting for a man armed with a knife who allegedly threatened peak-hour commuters.
The armed man reportedly entered Leederville Train Station in Perth’s inner-city about 7.30am on Monday.
He is accused of threatening multiple travellers before fleeing on foot.
A major manhunt is now underway to try and find the man, with police deploying a number of resources, including the airwing helicopter and canine squad to help their search.
The man was last seen wearing a black tracksuit with white writing on the leg, white runners and was carrying an insulated shopping bag.
No injuries were reported.
Members of the public have been asked not to approach him under any circumstances as police believe he is armed with a knife.
