Missing two-year-old boy found ‘safe and well’ in Queensland

A two-year-old boy who was reported missing has been found “safe”, as a man assists police with their inquiries.

A two-year-old boy has been found “safe and well” after an amber alert was issued for the child after he was reported missing from Queensland’s Scenic Rim region.

The Queensland Police Service confirmed the boy initially reported missing from Beaudesert overnight has been located safe and well.

Police issued the urgent appeal for public assistance on Wednesday morning.

It was unclear what time the boy had gone missing, with initial investigations that he was “taken”, according to police.

A 44-year-old Beaudesert man is now assisting police with inquiries. 

“Police would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance,” police said in a statement
