A young boy has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car outside a school in Alexandria this morning.
The six-year-old suffered head injuries after being struck on Mitchell Road near Buckland Street just before 9am.
An Ambulance NSW spokesman said the young boy was rushed to Sydney Children’s Hospital in a serious condition.
The accident happened close to Alexandria Park Community School.
It is not yet known if the boy was a student at the school.
