COWBOY James Tamou and his partner Brittney McGlone have welcomed a precious bundle of joy into their lives.
Their baby boy arrived at 1.55am on Tuesday morning with the couple still tossing up on the right name for the newest addition to their family.
“We’ve got a few picked out but we’re still not sure,” Mr Tamou said.
“At nine pounds he’s a big boy. I think he might take after his dad.”
The bub was actually due over a week ago with an anxious Tamou stating his stress levels had “upped a bit” when last Friday’s Kangaroos games was postponed to Sunday.
“We were overdue so it could have happened any day I was away,” he said.
He said mother and baby were doing well, with the newborn also meeting his older brother Brooklyn, 20 months, for the first time on Tuesday.
“Brooklyn loves him. He’s very gentle with him and he has a hold of him and kisses him all the time,” Mr Tamou said.
He said his Cowboys team mates were also heaping on the excitement.
“When I went into training yesterday they were asking all about it and congratulating me and they were excited for us,” he said.
