Australian photographer and adventurer Kerry Martin took a trip around the country in 2023, capturing snaps of canine companions which she turned into a coffee-table book, Dog Tales of Australia.
Travelling for 13 months over 56,000km in a caravan, she met and photographed dogs of all colours and sizes.
She is back on the road doing it all again, currently working on Dog Tales of Australia 2: Pawtraits and is looking for willing owners and fur babies wanting to be involved.
Stopping at hundreds of places around the country, Townsville and Magnetic Island are next on the list.
Ms Martin is calling for local dogs to register for photo session dates from September 3 to 8.
Ms Martin is travelling with her husband Sam and their dogs Keiko and Summer to every state in Australia over the next two years, offering her award-winning photography services to everyday Aussies.
“Every dog is a one-of-a-kind individual that enriches our lives and makes them worthy of admiration and appreciation,” Ms Martin said.
“We’re revisiting cherished spots and exploring uncharted territories, capturing the essence of dogs around Australia in the colourful and diverse landscapes we travel through in this beautiful country.”
She said the second trip around Australia will be bigger and better than the last, and this year, she will be supporting Assistance Dogs Australia.
“We know that your pets are part of the family, someone you share adventures with and cuddle on difficult and good days,” she said.
“They are the heart and soul by your side that you can’t imagine your life without. We capture all of that to create photographic artwork inspired by them, so you can have them star with pride on your walls.”
