AN Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner has made an emergency landing at New Delhi's international airport after warning lights in the cockpit indicated brake problems.

Air India spokeswoman Shobha Nimbalkar said Tuesday's warnings were later deemed a "false alarm".

All 174 passengers aboard the flight from London to New Delhi arrived safely.

On Monday, the windshield of another Air India Dreamliner developed cracks upon landing in Melbourne.

India's civil aviation regulator is investigating the incidents.

A large panel on the fuselage of an Air India 787 Dreamliner fell off during flight last month.

Boeing's latest commercial aircraft has run into a string of troubles since its launch.

The US aviation regulator grounded the aircraft globally in January after reports of batteries overheating.

The aircraft resumed flights in May.
