Doubletree by Hilton on Abbott St has unveiled freshly renovated rooms and an updated lobby.
The rooms were opened by the cutting of a shimmery white ribbon, showcasing the renovated rooms and their view of the water.
Cairns Hilton general manager Scott Wilson said the future of tourism in Cairns was positive.
“This renovation gives me great confidence in the future of tourism here in Cairns,” Mr Wilson said.
“When you take a look at the new flight paths, Cairns as a global destination will always grow in popularity, and out hotels are equipped to host them.”
State MP for Cairns Michael Healy said the opening was exciting for the future of tourism.
“As we emerge from Covid we are becoming not only a tourist hotspot domestically, but globally,” Mr Healy said.
“Opening this hotel behind me, and every other hotel, is a strong, positive step forward.”
To celebrate the renovation, DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns is offering a special promotion for locals, called ‘We Are Back Looking Better Than Ever’, which offers guests an overnight stay for two people in a newly renovated room, along with free parking for $209 per night.

The renovation project was designed to enhance the guest experience and the hotel’s already high standards of quality and service.
The newly renovated rooms feature modern and elegant decor, premium bedding, new carpets, new 55-inch smart TV’s, and high-speed Wi-Fi.
The fresh and modern look encompasses contemporary furnishings, including a comfortable lounge chair, stylish bedside lamps, and sleek black-out-curtains ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep.
The renovated bathroom boasts stone topped vanities, walk-in rain shower and premium bath amenities to provide guests an extra touch of comfort.
