A woman has died in the early hours of Sunday morning, after the quad bike she was riding crashed in Peterborough.

A woman has died in a quad bike accident in the early hours of Sunday morning in Victoria’s southwest.

Emergency services responded to calls that a quad bike had rolled on Jarvis Rd in Peterborough at about 5:10am on Sunday.

Ambulance Victoria attended the scene, but the female rider who is yet to be formally identified could not be saved.

Police are investigating the circumstances around the crash have urged anyone who witnessed the incident or with dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
