A man has died in a motorcycle crash following a police pursuit in Sydney’s southwest - sparking a critical incident investigation.

A man has died following a police pursuit in Liverpool, sparking a critical incident investigation.
Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command attempted to stop a motorcycle travelling southbound on the Hume Hwy at Liverpool just before 2am on Friday.
They pursued the bike after the rider failed to stop, but police terminated the pursuit on Flowerdale Rd due to safety concerns.
A short time later, the motorcycle was located on Flowerdale Road after crashing into a parked car.
The male rider was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.
A crime scene has been established, with specialist officers from Crash Investigation Unit attending to examine the scene.
The investigation will be subject of an independent review by the Professional Standards Command and oversight by the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission.
