Fairfield car chase: 13-year-old boy arrested, two passengers missing

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested after he was allegedly behind the wheel during a car chase with police before it crashed and rolled.

At about 2.30am on Wednesday, authorities attempted to stop a Volkswagen sedan on The Horsley Drive, Fairfield, in Sydney’s southwest.

A pursuit was initiated after the Volkswagen allegedly failed to stop; however, it crashed and rolled after a short distance.

While two passengers allegedly ran from the crash site on foot, police were able to detain the 13-year-old driver.

Authorities say he is assisting with inquiries, while police continue to investigate.

No details of the passengers have yet been revealed.
