Footage has captured the frightening moment a cyclist smashed the front window of a busy Sydney bus.

Shocking footage shows the moment an outraged cyclist smashed the front window of a crowded bus as it was stopped on a Sydney street.

The incident took place in Sydney on Sunday, showing the cyclist throwing an object at the window multiple times until it shatters.

Passengers watched on, with people heard saying “oh my God” in the background.

The cyclist strikes the window multiple times, before picking up his bag and bike, and walking off the road.

Passengers watched on, with one even pulling out her phone to film the incident.

“Did you all get that?” a man can be heard asking as the cyclist walks away.

The woman who filmed the video described the moment as “horrifying”.

“It was horrifying. But my video helped police,” the woman wrote on TikTok.

It is not known what caused the outrage, but the footage has been given to police.

TikTok viewers described the footage as “unbelievable”, with some asking why no one stepped in.

Others suggested the cyclist may have been put in danger by the bus.

“So he just did that … no provocation?” one user wrote.

“No doubt the bus driver must have cut him off or did something. But nothing justifies his response,” another said.

The incident is the latest in a series of road rage incidents which have cropped up across the country so far this year.’

In January, a road-rage brawl was caught on camera in the middle of Melbourne’s peak hour traffic.

The shocking video shows the moments after two women – a pedestrian and a driver – became locked in a heated fight in the inner-city suburb of Elwood.

The fight unfolded about 6pm on Brighton Road, with footage showing a white 4WD with its driver’s-side door open as one of the women slaps the other across the face.

Both women appear to take a boxing stance as they take turns slapping, pushing and pulling at each other.

A row of traffic on the opposite side of the road watches as the drama unfolds and it is understood traffic banks up out of frame.

The fight lasts less than a minute, but it is not known what caused the brawl.

It all comes to an end when bystanders rush in to break the fight up.
