‘People call me a paedo because my new wife looks like my 21yo daughter’

The dad-of-six says they get nothing but hate in the comments on the TikToks his 28-year-old wife makes with her new stepdaughter “bestie”.

Chris is 44, and his wife Savana is 28, and like many couples these days, their family is complicated.

Chris has six children, aged 21 years to 10 months. Three are with Savana, and three are with his ex-wife.

It sounds like a fairly normal blended family except the age difference between Savana and Chris’ eldest daughter Tizzy is just seven years.

When the pair began posting TikToks during lockdowns, the internet caught wind of their close age difference and noticed that the two have similar features.

Suddenly Chris was in the spotlight with people accusing him of paedophilia, and saying he wants to marry his own daughter.

“We met when Savana started working at the salon that I own,” Chris said on an episode of Love Don’t Judge on YouTube.

“I had just gotten divorced, and I felt there was something special with Savana that I’d never felt before.”

Step-mum and stepdaughter look strangely similar

Their relationship went from strength to strength, with the couple now married and sharing three young kids along with Chris' older kids. But it hasn’t been an easy road.

It has hard for the workplace to accept their relationship, and co-workers and people online speculated that Chris and Savana got together before Chris and his wife split up.

Tizzy said she was very thrown off by her dad’s new romance.

“Mum moved out, and everything happened super fast. I worked at the salon when they were getting divorced and when I went into the back, I felt like everyone was talking about it,” Tizzy said.

“If I had been your age and I came home with a girl who was closer to my age than his age, I would have whooped her **s,” a co-worker said.

“No doubt,” replied Tizzy. “It was messy.”

Step-mum and ‘twin’ stepdaughter TikToks go viral

Savana and Tizzy’s TikToks resemble a lot of content on the platform – people with blown out hair, doing dances in their loungerooms and driveways.

That they look similar is undeniable, and because Savana is so young, sometimes it’s hard to keep straight who is who. To solve the problem, and probably for the shock value, Savana tags herself and Tizzy in the videos with their roles in the family and ages.

“Step-mom, 28” and “stepdaughter, 21” read the captions that dance above their dancing heads in many videos.

“It started a tornado of comments online,” Savana said. The comments are mostly unkind.

“I would be traumatised if my dad married someone who looked exactly like me,” one person wrote.

“He should be in prison,” wrote another.

“Do you want to date your daughter?” said a third person.

One person pointed out that although the two look similar, a lot of women have blonde curls and a similar physique.

“To be fair, they look like every basic white girl,” they said.

“People call me an abuser and Savana a homewrecker,” Chris said. 

But the couple believes that as long as they and the kids are happy, nothing else matters.
