Former MAFS contestant Lizzie Sobinoff has hard-launched her new relationship on social media, writing she’s “never felt a love like this”.

Former Married At First Sight contestant Elizabeth “Lizzie” Sobinoff has hard-launched her boyfriend on social media, after revealing at Christmas she was in a new relationship.

Sobinoff, who appeared as a bride on the reality series sixth and seventh seasons, shared a series of photos of the couple to Instagram this morning from their Easter long weekend.

“Yes I know some of you are probably excited to see my partners face. The thing is, a lot of you know me from reality TV, but it was TV, definitely some truths to it, 100% there are some truths. But it is also entertainment,” she captioned the post.

“As a whole, I’m incredibly private, I did reality TV a lifetime ago. I’m so protective over my partner and there are so many negative, gossiping people out there, that go out of their way to talk trash.

“I have never felt a love like this so hopefully people can see why I have been so protective. I don’t need to justify myself, I get it. We have been together quite a while but I was letting myself enjoy it. Without others knowing on a bigger platform.”

Dozens of her more than 400,000 followers took to the comments to congratulate the couple, writing that they were “so happy” for her and “love seeing you in love”.

Sobinoff first debuted their relationship after Christmas, with two photos of them kissing while wearing Santa hats – though her partner’s face was covered with an emoji.

She noted at the time that he’d “been around for a while”.

“I just want to say that I admire the respect you have for your man and not posting his face. That‘s some honest respect right there,” one follower commented on the photos, to which Sobinoff replied, “My life is so different compared to how people might know me (from a show) for me this is sacred and like my family I don’t allow access to lots of people I love x.”

Sobinoff first appeared on MAFS in 2019, when she was partnered with Sam Ball – who infamously cheated on her with fellow contestant Ines Basic.

She returned 12 months later as an intruder couple with Seb Guilhaus – and the pair stayed together for some time, though confirmed their break up last January.

“We are both respectful of each other and are still involved in each other’s lives,” Sobinoff and Guilhaus wrote in identical statements at the time.

“We both have cherished each other and have grown together. We would like to send love and well wishes to all.”
