“He came back home with a six-pack of beer and I almost fell out of my chair laughing,” Monique says in the clip.

It’s no secret that kids have been impersonating their parents to get away with anything.

Permission forms, sick notes, even online purchases - children have made great efforts to imitate their parents, and apparently, it doesn’t go away with age. They just get more creative.

Florida-based single mum Monique was left in stitches when her son, Jiovanni, walked into the living room dressed exactly like his mum. But that was just the start - he had a plan.

Son hilariously dresses as his mum to use her ID

Son dressed as his mum “for some fun and laughs”

“My son wanted to see if he could pass as me and use my ID,” the caption read.

In the clip, he stands at the house's entry dressed just like his mum, complete with makeup, a wig and earrings. He even had his mum’s handbag on his shoulder and a padded bra for the full effect.

Monique couldn’t help but laugh as Jiovanni delicately walked towards her, proudly holding his chin up with pride.

“The answer is yes, he can,” Monique added.

The disguise was hilarious, and the family couldn’t hold in their laughter as he walked back and forth before leaving for the bottle shop.

“He came into the house with a six-pack of beer and I almost fell out of my chair laughing,” she added in a follow-up post.

“He came home with a six-pack of beer”

The family live in Florida, where the legal drinking age is 21. So you would be excused if you thought Jiovanni was a teenager trying to swipe his mum’s ID for a cheeky drink.

It turns out her son is already over the legal age, “so this was just for some fun and laughs,” she said.

In a follow-up post, she shared a snapshot with her son dressed as her again, this time with a longer wig and matching clothes. It's safe to say the resemblance was remarkably uncanny.

The similarities don’t stop at the physical resemblance; “Even worse he acts just like me!” she laughed. “He’s not only my son, he’s my best friend as well.”

However, according to Monique, Jiovanni is the only one of her four kids who resembles her at all.

“I have four sons, and he’s the only one that looks like me,” she said. “The other three don’t even look like they belong to me.”

“Me going into Costco with someone else’s card”

The video racked up a whopping 22 million views, and people were floored by the son’s uncanny resemblance to his mum.

“Omg, he can be your twin,” someone wrote in disbelief. “Your genes are strong mama!” another remarked. “I was not prepared, and how much he does look like you!”

“He is mumma’s son!” another said. “Insane how similar y’all look!”

“Lol this is the boymum content I’m cool with!” someone praised. “It’s the proud smile,” said another.

No matter how close the resemblance was with his mum, others couldn’t resist comparing him to country musician and actress Reba McEntire.

“At first I was like ‘wow, she looks like Reba’,” a person laughed. “Why did I actually think it was Reba for a second,” another added.

The prank also enticed others to follow in his footsteps but for different purposes.

“Me going into Costco with someone else’s card,” someone joked. “Test the face ID on your phone!" another suggested. "My neighbour discovered he could unlock his brother's!"
