"For your information it’s all clean now. And I'm going to go over the scratches with black Sharpie pen," she finally defended herself.

A mum who picked up a $500 pram for free has defended herself against "appalled" trolls.
Just prior to doing that, she'd proudly posted about her bargain - because who doesn't love free things - explaining that she needed a pram for her two kids, and had jumped at the chance when she saw one being given away.
She just wanted some cleaning advice.

"It's dirty and broken"
Emma shared a series of clips about the pram, but quickly found that not everyone was as happy for her as she was for herself.
"Think you were better off buying new hun, tbh - it's dirty and broken," one viewer wrote.
But Emma dug in her heels and replied:
"Right, how is that pram dirty?
"Just because the hoods are faded and these prams are known for the hoods fading on them... but I'm gonna dye them and I'm gonna make that pram look brand new again.
"It was free. We live in such a society where it's like, aw the hoods are faded, let's just throw it away and buy brand new.
"No, I am gonna make that pram look brand new again and I'm gonna dye the hoods, there's a few scratches on the frame which I'm just gonna buy a black marker and just scribble them out.
"So no, the pram isn't dirty and it's not broken and it's perfect for my babies."

"It could have been in a shed with rats"
Commenters continued to note other issues.
"But there was mildew all over the back of seat and inside the hood?" one questioned, and another added, "How come you put your kids in a pram that you got for free and it's not even clean?"
The criticism kept on coming with these posts: "Genuinely curious as it could have been in a shed with mould/rats?" and "Nothing wrong for free but it's covered in mould - you need to clean it."
Another warned again: "The white stuff is mould, I'd have cleaned it first."
Finally, this person judged: "It's a 3rd of 4th hand pram - gives me the ick."

"For your information it's clean now"
Emma replied that she hadn't seen the mould on the pram, and had cleaned it thoroughly before her kids had sat in it.
"For your information it’s all clean now. And I'm going to go over the scratches with black Sharpie pen.
"I'm so glad I've got it, but I was just simply asking for advice. Like whether I could wash the hoods and dye them. And whether the seat is normally like that on these prams.
"I was just simply asking for cleaning advice, so I'm not moaning about it. I am so grateful I've got that pram because I've wanted a Joie pram for the longest time."
