‘I got a mortifying note from school - I’m so humiliated I want to move away’

“How much did they have to see before they sent me this? I guess I can never leave my house again because they know it's me,” flabbergasted Meg says in the video.

When Meg woke up in the morning, she walked outside and checked her mailbox.

Inside was a letter from the neighbouring school, situated across the road from her house in the UK.

At first, she thought it was a notice warning residents of upcoming construction or planned works in the area. But when she read the letter, all the colour drained from her face.

Woman reveals the humiliating letter she received from school

“I had no idea that the school were able to see into my window”

“No, this letter was specifically for me,” she told her large TikTok audience.

“I want you to put yourself in my shoes as I read this for you.”

“Dear resident,” the letter began. “I'm sorry to have to write to you on such a sensitive subject, but felt it appropriate to make you aware that your bathroom window can be easily viewed from our nursery playground.”

“In the circumstances, we wondered if you would consider purchasing a blind for the window to avoid any embarrassment on behalf of either yourself or our children.”

The letter was signed off by the school’s principal, prompting pure embarrassment from the Canadian.

“I had no idea that they were able to see in,” she confessed, explaining her bathroom windows were textured, leaving her with the impression they were safe from prying eyes.

“I don't know what they've seen. I don't know how often they've seen it.”

“I’m like the Ugly Naked Guy from Friends!”

She was so embarrassed that she was unsure she could ever leave the house again on the chance of being recognised.

“How much did they have to see before they sent me this?” she asked, tapping the letter. “How much? How often? Where? When?”

“I was flabbergasted when I read this this morning, and I was like, right, I guess I can never leave my house again, because they know it's me,” she added, laughing.

“They know it was me! They wrote my house number down and put it through my letter box while I was asleep!”

The issue was so stressful she considered whether the teachers had given her a special name, like the ‘Ugly Naked Guy’ from the American sitcom Friends.

“Do you think they have a name for me?” she asked before admitting the incident was “a little funny.”

“I mean, I'll never open my blinds again, I tell you that,” she added. “I'm sorry to the school next door.”

“I would be moving three countries away!”

The video has amassed nearly 370,000 views, with her audience equally as humiliated by the confronting letter.

“Omg- I would be moving at least three countries away,” a shocked person wrote. “I’d be moving to the moon,” added another.

Many wondered exactly what the students and teachers could see through the window.

“It is probably [a] naked silhouette,” someone suggested. “Can’t see detail but can see enough to make children giggle.”

“The kids probably do not care," a person argued. “It’s the adults. Kids at nursery age are pretty accepting.”

But most of all, everyone needed to know how long the school was aware of Meg’s nude adventures around her bathroom before sending her the letter.

“OMG, they didn’t tell you before?” read a gobsmacked comment. “At some point, they saw enough and thought ‘We need to do something about this,’” laughed another.

“Either they saw little and thought best tell you ASAP, or they spent months seeing you and finally sent this out.”
