A mum has shared her experience of giving birth alone on her bathroom floor, without her husband even realising.
The mum-of-five, Teagan Swoboda, said she started having contractions at 5:45 am on the 11th of August, and she had no idea that her baby girl would arrive soon after.

How did this happen?
After monitoring her contractions in the bathroom, 36-year-old Teagan waited for 15 minutes before waking her husband, Tony.
She said, "I thought that if it was going to be a lengthy day, I wanted him to be well-rested."
As Tony went downstairs to set up the equipment for their planned water birth, Teagan called him upstairs at around 6:30 as things were happening fast.
But as he was busy setting up the pool, he couldn't hear Teagan yelling out.
So just six minutes later, Teagan gave birth to baby Elliot in her bathroom, all by herself.

"I couldn't even get to the bathtub in front of me - I struggled walking. I gave birth to her on my own which was terrifying," the mum revealed.
"I was trying to catch her head and hold an arm. I held her head and hooked my arm under her armpit."
When her baby came out, the mum laid her down on the toilet to pick her up. She then rested her newborn on her chest and rubbed her back and apparently, "time stood still."
A few moments later, Tony came upstairs to let his wife know that the inflatable pool was ready, but he realised it was too late.
Teagan, a professional nurse, said Tony "got a little lightheaded and said everything was ready—I said, 'Yeah, great, but look what I have got'. He was in absolute shock."
She then just sat there in amazement as Tony fetched their four boys so they could meet their baby sister.
Once the midwife came and cleared everything, they all got into bed and spent the rest of the day at home.
The mum says that Eliot is "perfect" and just as sweet as her four older brothers.
"They are all such good brothers, they appreciate how little she is and every noise Eliot makes," she said.
