Method:
-
Prepare the cards.
-
Take a piece of A3 piece of watercolour paper and cut it into thirds.
-
Fold those pieces in half to create 3 square cards.
-
-
Cookie cutter prints.
-
Take one of your cookie cutters and check to see which is the sharp side and which is more rounded. We will be using the rounded (blunt) side for our printing.
-
Take your paint brush and dip it into the water. Dip the brush into the watercolour paint and dab onto the cookie cutter.
-
Press the cookie cutter firmly onto the front of one of your cards. Be careful not to hurt your fingers on the sharp side!
-
-
Just add water!
-
With a clean paint brush, apply water to the inside of the printed shape. Watch as the colours begin to blend beautifully.
-
If you accidentally add too much water, use a tissue to blot the excess.
-
-
Get creative!
-
Once you’ve mastered the printing process, experiment with layering shapes. Allow each print to dry fully before adding the next layer.
-
Use paint pens or glitter paint to add details and sparkle to your designs.
-
