A father has been slammed online for his unsafe act on the road with this young child.
A man was spotted on the streets of Auckland standing at the traffic lights while riding an e-scooter.
Wearing a bright yellow jacket, a backpack and a pair of Crocs, it all seems perfectly reasonable.
Until you see the child perched on top of his shoulders.

“At least he’s wearing a helmet”
“Saw this today, completely blown away about how unsafe this was,” someone shared on Reddit.
The person who uploaded the image explained the scooter had “zoomed off down the bike lane” before they could “share my thoughts with him.”
Sarcastically, the person noted that “at least he's wearing a helmet.”
The little girl, however, was not wearing a helmet. In fact, she had no safety gear on at all.
Instead, she sat on her father’s shoulders, wrapping her arms around his neck as she held on for dear life.
In Auckland, several rules apply to e-scooter riders.
As the low-powered vehicles are not qualified as motorised vehicles, they can be ridden on the road, footpaths and shared paths.
Helmets are recommended but not legally required while riding the transportation.

“I've never seen anyone on a scooter who looked ready for parenthood”
The father was instantly slammed for his lack of safety awareness on the road, with some calling him a “f**kin’ moron.”
“I've never seen anyone on a scooter who looked ready for parenthood,” someone sarcastically commented.
“This is why cool things get banned,” said another.
“Do they know how easy the bottoms can give out? The centre of gravity is so unusual, even riding slowly on them, you can feel how easily something can go wrong.”
Others were terrified for the young girls’ safety and claimed they “have reported to the police” if they had seen the incident themselves.
“Legit so scary to see - poor cute bubs could get really hurt from a fall, and the sidewalks aren’t exactly scooter friendly around the city,” someone wrote.
“Guy is an idiot, and the mum would rightly be livid seeing this.”
“Oh god, I'm so sick worrying about this poor girl up there,” read a terrified comment. “Even aside from him making a bunch of mistakes or getting hit, etc.... she could let go.”
“This should literally be criminal,” said another concerned person. “Would he do this on a Vespa? How is this different?”
“And that’s why mum needs to be close by, in case dad does something stupid…”
