THE Footy Show host Erin Molan has given birth to a baby girl named Eliza Emily Ogilvy.

Molan, 35, and her fiance Sean Ogilvy, who have been engaged since early 2017, welcomed their first child together this afternoon.

“Everyone at Nine is so happy for Erin and Sean and the safe arrival of beautiful Eliza,” a Nine spokesperson said on nine.com.au.

“We wish them well for the start of the next exciting phase, and look forward to meeting the new Blues supporter when she is ready. Congratulations from all.”

Molan is yet to post a photo of her new bub on social media.

It hasn’t been smooth sailing for Molan during her pregnancy. She was hospitalised twice — once after collapsing and hitting her head on the ground at work and suffering another fall at a shopping centre.

“It hasn’t been one of those ideal pregnancies,” she told 9 Honey in March.

“I’m still pretty sick, but I think I’ll just accept that I’m one of those women who’ll just be sick throughout.”

Molan also said she felt like a “walking corpse”, which often made it difficult to get through the working day.

“I often have to run out of the hair and make-up room multiple times unwell. Twice — once at radio and once at TV — I have been likened to a ‘walking corpse’. I spend most days ill in bed until I have to get up and go to work,” she wrote on Instagram.

“Today — I spent an hour on the bathroom floor unable to get up — and have had to call in sick to work for the first time since getting pregnant … I can normally work through anything so I found doing that incredibly hard.”

Molan and Ogilvy found out they were pregnant just eight months after getting engaged, so they postponed their wedding.

“To be honest, we were both relieved,” Molan told 9 Honey.

“We thought we’d now do something that’s very different to what we’d originally planned, and much smaller. And have bubba involved, which will be lovely.”

Molan says her flexible working schedule means she will be able to spend most days of the week at home with her baby.

“I’m very blessed in that my schedule is so good that I go from a Thursday afternoon to a Sunday afternoon, and then I’m a full-time mum from Sunday arvo to Thursday arvo,” she told 9 Honey’s Honey Mums podcast.

“I think we’ll get the balance right, but there’s probably mothers out there laughing at me thinking, ‘God, you’ve got absolutely no idea’.”

And the part she’s most looking forward to?

“I just can’t wait to see Sean hold the baby for the first time, to be honest,” she said.

Congrats Erin and Sean!
