An entitled mum blocked my driveway during school pickup, so I took revenge

"The look on her face after she realised what was happening was priceless," the homeowner said.

Mum hits back at parents who shamed her outfit at school drop-off

In a hilariously petty Reddit post, a man explained how he took revenge on an 'entitled' mum who parked across his driveway during school pickup.

"I live next to a school and I've had parents back up into my driveway to wait for their children. If I'm not going anywhere, I don't mind no harm, no foul," he begins the now-viral post.

But one day recently, he came home to find a woman in his driveway when he needed to pull in.

He explained, "I got out of my car and asked her to please pull out for a second so I could pull in and then you can back up where you were. She said, 'I will only be a few minutes' - I said, 'Ma'am, I live here, and I'd like to get into my garage'."

"I'll move in a bit"

He then provides some extra context before revealing what he ended up doing: "My street is narrow, and parents are parked on both sides to pick up their children.

"It's getting busier, and only one car can get past at a time."

So, he told her that he couldn't just wait "a few" minutes because he was literally blocking traffic.

But the mum didn't budge and tried to wave him away, saying she'd be moving "in a bit."

He then proceeded to park her in by parking perpendicular to her car, blocking his own driveway but also the mum from getting out as well.

Then here comes the best part...

"As I walked by, I told her I really have to use the bathroom and have stomach cramps," he recounted.

He also said to the mum, "You're welcome to call the police, but I won't be out for several minutes."

Only then did it sink in that he was blocking her from moving. "The look on her face after she realised what was happening was priceless," he said.

Moments after going inside, he heard the car honking and someone ringing the doorbell.

It turned out to be a young boy, presumably the woman's son, asking when he'd be out.

After a few more minutes, the OP eventually came out to move his car, avoiding eye contact and making sure to take his sweet time, "adjusting the rearview mirror, moving the car seat forward and back slowly."

"All I heard was the tyres screeching and the car horn honking as she left."

"School run mothers are the worst people to deal with"

In the comments, there was nothing but praise for the man's sassy move.

"That's almost perfect! The only thing I would have changed is I would have maintained eye contact with Karen as much as possible as I walked out," said one user.

Another added: "Love this! I have a similar issue in my suburb, although thankfully, no one has parked in any of the driveways yet."

"I live across from a school as well and school run mothers are the worst people to deal with," claimed a different commenter.
