Who Jewellery entrepreneur Anastasia Barba. Where Apartment in Sydney’s south with her husband Luca and their newborn daughter, Sophia. Favourite thing Both my parents were born overseas. I even named the Pella Collection after my dad’s hometown in Greece.
Inspiration Modern and minimalist. All our artwork is very monochrome and is inspired by a neutral palette. Home is A place where you can have it all – relax, reflect and entertain.
Anastasia Barba should be on maternity leave right about now, but instead the co-creator of The Silver Collective is happy to bring her two-month-old daughter Sophia into work. This is where she is lovingly welcomed by maternal grandmother, Maria Papazoglou, who is the other half of the brand.
Balancing the demands of her first baby and business can be tricky, but Anastasia finds comfort at home with her husband Luca in a light, airy two-bedroom apartment in Bexley.
“We have been living here for three years now. We love entertaining, so the fact that this apartment had a large open-plan deck with water views really stood out to us. It was a huge point of difference in comparison to the other properties we were looking at,” says Anastasia.
“Our favourite place is our back deck. We often sit out there to wind down from a busy day at work or just to relax on the weekend with a coffee in hand.”
Natural light was another fortuitous advantage. “We love how much light we get throughout the day, brightening up the entire apartment and giving off the feeling of more space.” The apartment was new and fresh on the market when they bought it, but Anastasia has added her own comfortable, pared-back style to the place with lots of neutral accents.
Her decor rule: “No bright colours.”

After being with my partner for six years, we got married on the first of June, 2019. My dress is from Pallas Couture and one of my favourite memories from the day.
I am no longer part of a rock band but I have a personal passion for music and so does my husband. We’ll often get the guitar out and have a go at creating music covers at home.
I’ll find any excuse to entertain, so having an area dedicated to this was a big factor when buying our first property. Our outside deck is our favourite space in our home, and where we spend the most time entertaining but also just enjoying the sunrise over breakfast. I’m an early riser.
I wore this to our boutique opening which was a huge milestone for us as it was the first time we had a presence in Westfield (Miranda, NSW). We had lines out the door all weekend and there was such an amazing energy around the boutique.
The Ava ring was the first piece we made and for years this piece proved itself as a bestseller. I like to keep this in my jewellery box as it’s a daily reminder of where we began, and how far we have come.
We designed a collection in honour of my late grandmother and my namesake, Anastasia. Her photo is up in my house as she truly is an inspiration for my mother and me.
Once upon a time I was the lead singer in a rock band called Stars of Addiction. We performed domestically and internationally, even in some iconic venues in LA. I still have some of our merch and it’s a good reminder that it’s OK to experiment in different areas until you find your passion point.
My hair is super curly and sometimes difficult to maintain but this is like magic for my hair when it comes to trying to control it, especially during summer.
