Kmart has officially launched its new February Living Range across Australia today, offering a range of aesthetic, luxurious-looking pieces for budget-friendly prices.
Designed to address cost-of-living pressures while delivering on style, the collection features larger statement furniture pieces, trendy home decor, and smart storage solutions.
Nicholas Holmes, Kmart’s Home buyer, acknowledges that Australians are still experiencing cost-of-living pressures and wanted to offer customers “accessible ways to refresh their space at an affordable price point”.
Inspired by the clean slate that the new year represents, the February Living Range is anchored in earthy neutrals with soft pastels and calming sage greens.
Texture and silhouettes play a leading role, with plush fabrics and eye-catching shapes making an appearance across furniture and decor.
Kmart fans have already gotten wind of the new range over the past few weeks and have taken to social media to share the products they’re already “obsessed” with.
The must-have pieces
One of the standout pieces of the range is the Marlo Lounge Chair, priced at just $99.
This mid-century-inspired piece features a minimalist black frame and plush cushions, and has been hailed as a dupe of a higher-end $949 version.
TikTok user @hellojessicamary showcased how she styled two of these chairs in her home, pairing them with a bouclé Ottoman and textured rug to create a cozy, stylish nook.
Her post quickly went viral, with some claiming it’s the “buy of the year”, while others said they couldn’t believe they were from Kmart.
Another standout of the collection is the Riley Wavy Floor Lamp, priced at $49.
This contemporary, sculptural lighting piece adds dimension and style while illuminating a room with a soft, warm glow.
Kmart fan @suehomefinds shared a reel featuring the lamp on Instagram, which sparked a frenzy from her followers.
“Love that they finally brought out a wavy floor lamp!” one person wrote.
“I need immediately,” declared someone else.
For those looking to refresh their space with smaller details, the collection includes elegant ceramic decor objects, stylish vases, and smart storage solutions.
The $6 Ceramic Knot Decor Object is a simple yet sophisticated accent that adds an artistic touch to shelves and coffee tables.
The XL Ceramic Candles, priced at $15, provide instant cosiness, while the $10 Stripe Ceramic Vase is a great two-for-one buy as it can be used as a sculpture or a functional vase.
For foodies on the move, the Portable Blender, priced at $25, is sure to take social media by storm.
Designed to whip up smoothies, shakes, and fresh juices in seconds, it features a one-touch operation as well as a built-in handle perfect for travel or taking to work.
How to style the new range like an interior designer
Mr Holmes shared his expert tips on styling the new collection to maximise its impact in different areas of the home.
The kitchen: Versatile pieces for a lived-in feel
Adding a few key statement pieces in the kitchen can instantly liven up even the most sterile of kitchens, he said.
Mini framed art pieces, priced at $7, are an easy way to introduce colour and serve as a great alternative to styling with cookbooks, which can quickly appear cluttered.
The key to a visually appealing set up is using a mix of small, medium, and large pieces to create balance.
For example, you could try pairing tall objects, such as storage canisters next to glass jars filled with fresh herbs.

Living room: The rule of threes and fives
In the living room, Mr Holmes recommends following the rule of three or five when styling decor.
Arranging items in odd numbers removes the stiffness of symmetry and gives the space a more effortlessly curated feel.
Placing things on a decorative tray makes it easy to remove from your coffee table when needed, especially for those with children or pets.
When it comes to cushions and throws, mixing and matching different sizes, textures and shapes is key to achieving a layered and inviting look.
Artificial plants are also making a bigger impact in this range, with Kmart introducing a collection of larger faux greenery.
He suggests mixing real and faux plants together and says that with the right placement, no one will be able to tell which ones are real and which are fake!
Dining room: Grazing tables are here to stay
In the dining area, grazing tables continue to be a popular entertaining trend.
Styling them is easier than you think, starting with a striped tablecloth, such as the $10 Natural Stripe Tablecloth, to add contrast and dimension.
Creating a focal point with a tall central piece, like fresh cuttings from the garden, sets the foundation for a visually engaging tablescape.
Kmart’s expanded range of serving boards makes styling effortless and easy to mix and match different timbers.
The trend now is serving single ingredients on each dish, such as butter, olives and bread, creating a big, bountiful spread.
