YOU probably won’t be able to sail off into the Italian sunset from suburban Sydney, but that doesn’t mean your family can’t indulge in a little bit of Euro-inspired luxury with the Capri 353.
Designed to impress, the formidable house works on a 14.5m wide block. With six facade options available, the Capri 353 is the largest of four floorplans in the Capri design category.
There are six designs to choose from, but the Vogue facade, as displayed would be one of the most popular.
The above average sized design needs a generous block, but should delight families buying large lots of land.
LIVING
At 352.76sq m, this version of the Capri is not for the faint-hearted.
Fabulously over-sized, there are several living spaces to comfortably house the large family or a combined in-law accommodation set-up.
The kitchen commands attention in the hub of this mega space.
Luxe in white polyurethane with stone benchtop and timber-look veneer panelling, this area sets the tone for the entire back of the design, which is dedicated to living.
The grandest living space flows left from the kitchen. At 5.6m x 4.9m the family room can be made even bigger by opening up the sliding doors on to the outdoor living space.
The dining room is also comfortably sized, able to accommodate large groups, with a media room adjoining this space.
At the front of the design, a study has been positioned to the left of the porch, with another living room directly behind it.
If there is a need to create a separate mini-hub for guests or in-laws, this area would be the most obvious choice to convert into a private bedroom and living room.
Upstairs is another living area designed with a balcony, which can be easily accessed by the entire family.
So often, the main bedroom is placed in this space, restricting the use of the balcony.
BEDROOMS
The Capri 353 is a four-bedroom design, but realistically it can be converted into a six-bedder if you didn’t need the study downstairs or the rumpus upstairs.
With real estate prices soaring, and more interest in multi-generational living, the Capri makes it more affordable for families to buy together without necessarily having to live in each other’s pockets.
The four bedrooms upstairs are well appointed, with the walk-in robes on bedrooms two and three backing on to each other to act as a sound buffer.
Bedroom four is positioned between the rumpus and bathroom amenities, while the main bedroom has the biggest space with walk-in-robes and private ensuite.
WHAT THE BUILDER SAYS
The open plan living, dining and family area that leads on to the alfresco area is the major attraction for the Capri 353.
People really like the mix of formal and informal living and that the areas are linked.
It’s a flexible design so that a lot of people convert the study downstairs into a bedroom for in-laws or as guest accommodation.
Inter-generational living is definitely becoming more popular. The rumpus room upstairs can also be a bedroom.
