NOW that Yummy Mummies has wrapped up, Rachel Watts can take stock of being involved in one of 2017’s most talked about reality shows. The Yummy Mummies are a group of overindulged expectant mothers who love luncheons and Louboutins.

First-time mum Rachel took part in the show and was memorable for refusing to wear flat shoes through her pregnancy.

Married to Jayson Watts, a partner in a Melbourne real estate agency, Rachel had declared that having a baby was not going to put a dent in their social calendar.

“Our baby will fit into our lifestyle. The whole strict routine does my head in; it’s just not going to work that way. Let them run wild,” she recalls.

First-time mum Rachel refused to wear flat shoes through her pregnancy.

On reflection, she says nothing can prepare you, and baby Harvey, 15 months, is obviously her first priority.

“I did mention on Yummy Mummies I wouldn’t be following any routines,” she says. “Ha! I really don’t know what I was thinking when I said that — that was very naive of me. Routines have become important to me and my family.”

That said, she doesn’t regret her time on the show.

“I embraced it as a unique opportunity. It’s not every day you have a baby, let alone a camera crew wanting to capture the moment.”

Rachel, who previously worked as a state retail manager for a fashion brand, says she has mellowed into life as a full-time mum.

“Initially I did find it difficult as I am not one to kick back on the couch. I thought I would be bored but as soon as Harvey came along my time filled up. Now I absolutely adore being a stay-at-home mamma.”

Flavours Of Melbourne book: I am such a foodie at heart and I truly love trying new restaurants. There are so many incredible places to eat in Melbourne. We’re really lucky.

Boxing gloves: I love to exercise and punching a bag with these bad boys is great for my mind, body and soul. I kept fit during my pregnancy and have maintained an exercise routine.

Converse baby shoes: This was one of the first things I bought for my baby when I found out I was pregnant. I just thought they were so cute.

Pearl earrings: These are my late nanna’s pearl earrings. My mum always tells me I must get my love of fashion from her. She was always impeccably dressed.

Rings: These rings represent my love for my hnusbandf Jayson. He designed my engagement ring

Award for excellence: I studied extremely hard at university and it was absolutely worth it. It’s a great achievement and no one can take that away from me. .

The New Contented Little Baby Book: Although I read many pregnancy and baby books I felt this one suited Harvey and me the best. It’s quite strict, so I used it as a guideline only.

Group photo: Best friends are the people you can do everything or nothing with and still have the best time. I am so grateful to have these ladies in my life.

French bulldog: Poor Charlie has already had four operations and is not even two years old. She had a cherry eye removed, a corkscrew tail and two operations on her knee. We love her to bits.n.
