WITH a relatively narrow frontage, the Washington 32 is one of those new home designs that is much bigger than it first seems.

Measuring just 10.4m in width, it reaches back 18m to suit a long narrow block. But step inside and you are welcomed into a well-lit, open-plan home with ample living space for a growing family.

A spacious home office is just off the entry on the ground floor with a second lounge room a few steps along the hallway.

For those who work from home, this would make a perfect space for welcoming and meeting clients and doing business. It could also be used as a play room, teenage retreat or games room for older children if needed.

Beyond this section is the heart of the home, the open-plan combined kitchen, living and dining room.

The kitchen has a good-sized butler’s pantry and plenty of space for food prep with a dedicated bench and an island, which doubles as an informal eating area.

MORE NEW HOME DESIGNS

The open kitchen, which looks out over the living space to the outdoor alfresco area, makes this an idea home for those who enjoy entertaining. Sliding doors open from the dining room to this covered space, which creates very usable extra space when accommodating large groups.

Media alcoves in both the living room and second lounge are a handy touch given how many devices most families now own.

The first floor is home to the sleeping quarters, with the master suite the jewel of the four bedrooms. Located at the front end of this floor, it offers a double-sided walk-in robe and ensuite. Of the three remaining bedrooms, one has a walk-in robe and the others have built-in robes. An upper lounge is at the top of the staircase, with the secondary bedrooms all sharing access to it.

This floor also offers a big linen closet, which runs the length of the hallway leading out of the master suite and complements the storage found in the downstairs laundry.

WHAT THE BUILDER SAYS

“The spacious family home suits compact allotments, or those measuring 375sqm or under. The Washington 32 is one of Wisdom’s biggest selling homes due to its functionality, value for money and quality finishes as standard. The homes popularity has also seen it produced in many other sizes to suit smaller lot frontages including 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 28 and 29sqm. It’s the kind of family home that ticks all of the boxes.”
