A GOOD family home design needs to be many things to many people. And the single-story four-bedroom Havana Executive — one of McDonald Jones’ most popular designs — does this through a flexible floorplan.

The inclusion of a children’s activity room and home theatre adds two living spaces that can be used however the family needs — transformed into a fifth bedroom, games room, home office or nursery.

Havana Executive’s primary living space at the centre of the house has a classic open-plan layout, with dining and living areas to one side and the galley-style gourmet kitchen to the other. The vast space is awash with natural light from the many window openings.

A walk-in pantry is tucked into a corner of the kitchen.
