Since the coronavirus, Australians are doing a lot more cleaning at home, spraying and wiping pretty much everything in sight, especially high-touch surfaces like door knobs and handles.
There are a few shortcuts that will help you clean thoroughly and efficiently. In the kitchen, wiping surfaces and washing dishes will prevent big time-consuming messes.
A little effort makes a big difference in the bedroom. Simply making the bed and moving mugs and glasses to the kitchen will do wonders for creating the appearance of a tidy bedroom.
If you don’t have cleaning sprays or wipes, washing with soapy water should do the trick. Gloves are recommended for home cleaning, but if that’s not practical, just be sure to wash your hands before and after you clean.
While there’s not just one way to clean your living space, there is a smarter way to get the job done. Hire a professional.
Bruno Badolato of Hands On Cleaning Services said professional cleaners can help with vacuuming carpets and mopping floors to cleaning bathrooms and tidying kitchens.
“We can sanitise your home so you feel reassured and safe, especially during these difficult times,” he said.
There are also those other tough jobs that may need to be done less frequently which can be tackled by professionals.
“It’s important to remove any cobwebs, mould off the floors and walls, keep rodents away and sanitise your garbage bins,” Mr Badolato said.
There are social distancing measures in place but professional cleaners are still able to lend a hand while maintaining a safe distance. And people can still post jobs online through the hipages platform.
ADVICE FOR HOMEOWNERS WHEN DEALING WITH TRADIES
– Greet your tradie at the door, but remain a safe distance as per the ‘social distance’ guidelines.
– Wave instead of shaking hands with your tradie.
– Offer your tradie the opportunity to wash their hands at the start and conclusion of the job.
– Upon completion of the job, use electronic payment options such as credit card, direct debit or through the hipages app (which is free of charge) to avoid handling cash.
– Respect the social distancing measures (1 person per 4 sq metre).
