Man wrap: Smart or sexist?

FOR men who can't curl ribbons or make folds, help is at hand in the form or some glorified sticky foil.

WHILE some people can turn out effortless wrapped gifts, others get themselves tied up in knots just using a bit of sellotape.

But help is at hand for wrappers so haphazard a plastic bag might look like the best option.

'Man Wrap' targets men who can't curl ribbons or make folds. The user rolls out the foil-like paper, places the gift in the middle, rips the paper off the roll and twists it around the present.

Designer Martin Grix, 39, said: "My brother actually wrapped my stuff up one year in bin bags and I have heard of men using kitchen foil.

"I wanted to make something you could quickly wrap and look nice, so I started trying to find a way to make it easier."

Mr Grix, who runs the Monster Factory shop in Clapham, South London, added: "I took it to a trade show and women were saying 'Even a bloke could use this', which helped it get the name.

"It's a bit like Marmite, people really like it or they don't, but we have had some great feedback."
