‘Not worth it’: Model Lottie Moss rushed to hospital after Ozempic overdose

Lottie Moss, the younger sister of British supermodel Kate Moss, has revealed she was rushed to hospital after overdosing on Ozempic – describing her decision to use the drug as the “worst” she’d ever made.
The 26-year-old detailed her harrowing experience in a recent episode of her podcast, Dream On.
Moss, also a model, said she became violently ill and suffered a seizure and severe dehydration after taking the injectable drug.
In Australia, the drug is only approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for its intended use – treating diabetes – not for people seeking to lose weight.
An excess of people misusing the medication has led to a global shortage, with its manufacturer, Novo Nordisk, warning the TGA it will remain in limited supply for the rest of 2024.
“A few months ago, I was not feeling happy about my weight. I had a friend, and she could get it for me,” Moss explained.
“It was below board, from a doctor, but it wasn’t like you go into a doctor’s office and he prescribes it for you, takes your blood pressure, and takes tests – which is what you need when you go on something like Ozempic.
“At the end of the day it is a medication, it is dangerous.”
Moss later learned she was injecting a dose meant for someone almost twice her own weight.
“It’s these small things I wish I’d known before taking it. But I took it … and it was the worst decision I ever made,” she admitted.
“This is a warning to everyone. Please, if you’re thinking of taking it, do not take it. It’s so not worth it.”
Moss described the seizure she had – triggered by severe dehydration – as one of the most frightening experiences of her life.
“At one point, I went to the bathroom, and I felt really sick, I felt like I was going to pass out. I thought something was happening, I didn’t feel good,” she recalled.
“My friend Reece had to hold my feet down (while I seized) and it was just so scary, the whole situation. I didn’t know what was going on.”
Moss, who was first scouted at 13 and began modelling at age 16, has previously discussed growing up in the “toxic” fashion industry and her time in rehab for drug addiction.
